Privacy Policy

Scratchsettle ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based, dog-owner-founded project. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our Comfort Check quiz or reserve a spot with us, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you unlock your quiz results or reserve a spot.
• Your dog's name and your answers to the Comfort Check quiz (breed, weight, symptoms and similar), used to work out and personalise your dog's result.
• Standard technical information collected automatically by our hosting provider (such as approximate location and browser type), used only to keep the site running securely.

We don't collect payment or financial information. Nothing on this site takes payment while we're in our pre-launch, reservation-only phase.

Why we collect it

• To show you your dog's Comfort Check result and email it to you.
• To let you reserve a spot and Special Price ahead of launch, and to email you when we're ready.
• To send occasional updates about Scratchsettle, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Scratchsettle, who process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Airtable, to store quiz and reservation records.
• MailerLite, to send you quiz results and email updates.
• Netlify, to host this website.

We don't sell your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we're actively in touch with you about Scratchsettle, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Unsubscribing from our emails stops future contact but doesn't automatically delete your prior records; email us (see below) if you'd like those removed too.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To do any of these, get in touch (see below). If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. We don't run analytics that identify you personally.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Scratchsettle grows, for example once we move from reservations to taking orders. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
